To celebrate his 60th birthday,Church Stretton butcher and ultra runner Terry Davies set himself a tough challenge at Christmas.  Not having run for 2 months he set his sights on not just finishing the Wenlock Olympian Walk of 53 miles but adding another 7 miles to make it “60 at 60”. The weather was HOT and the conditions hard underfoot.  Terry completed the route in 13 hours 14 mins with his support runners struggling to keep up with his pace!
I was more than a little surprised to see quite how spritely he was back at work on Monday morning.
Now for a rendezvous with a little event the first weekend in October……..
