Congratulations to Jimmy Kershaw on winning the Under 20 European Triathlon trial. A solid swim, a great bike put him in the leading group and then a first kilometre of under 3 minutes took him onto the lead which he held until the finish. This race qualifies him as No1 Brit going onto the European Championships later in the summer.
Jimmy has been training with us since he was 14 and its great to see his success. He is working with Steve Lloyd of Absolute triathlon. Steve organises the Midland development squad and I have coached them this year for their running, think I can nearly call myself a tri coach now! But you won’t catch me open water swimming!!!
Update McCauley Carline has won the Telford Triathlon and Macca has run with our Wednesday squad until going off to Loughborough University this year. Well done both.
